St David’s Day 2020

David James preached on ‘Do the little things, the small things you’ve seen
me doing.’

We celebrated St David’s day in style on Sunday with a show of hats.

It used to be a tradition for women to trim their bonnets for Easter Sunday. In the cold snap last year a number of hats were worn in church and noted. As a way of celebrating our patronal festival at St David’s on 1st March we were encouraged, as many who wanted to, to don a hat. This could be a hat lurking in your wardrobe, or one made for the occasion – paper, fabric, knitted, floral.
Last year at the summer fete we had a dog show for the first time. So for our Patronal festival brunch we had a Hat competition.
